The Little Sisters of the Lamb is one of two branches of a Roman Catholic religious institute called The Community of the Lamb that was founded in Southern France. In 2013, Excel built the Little Sisters of the Lamb’s first North American monastery in Kansas City, KS. This project is a 15,000 SF monastery that includes a chapel, sleeping rooms, refectory, oratory, community area and a wing for visiting Priests or Clergy. Excel worked with the Little Sisters to secure over $250,000 in donated materials and labor with local suppliers and contractors. The Little Sisters of the Lamb project earned the Capstone Award for Community Impact, presented by the Kansas City Business Journal, in 2013.
