B&B Theatres Shawnee 18 recently went through an expansive renovation. The theatre received an updated façade and signage with resurfaced parking lot and landscaping. Inside, the theatres seats were removed and replaced with leather reclining theater chairs. The lobby renovations included a new snack bar, signage, carpet, lighting and paint, as well as updated restrooms. Shawnee 18 features a ScreenPLAY auditorium which is a new concept to the region and only one of three in the nation. The auditorium is family friendly 66-seat facility with vibrantly colored seats and wall coverings, and a full-size climbing playground. With a colorful interactive toddler play area and a giant orange slide, children are encouraged to play out their energy before a film.
