Situated on more than 19 acres of eastern Kansas prairie land, the Army Reserve Center located in Tonganoxie, Kansas is an energy-efficient facility that includes a 30,000 square foot training facility, and a 1,600 square foot storage building. Among its many features are state-of-the-art training rooms, arms vault, assembly hall and physical fitness areas with locker rooms. Physical security measures were incorporated into design including entry control points and maximum standoff distance from roads, parking areas and vehicle unloading areas. This project was constructed as a joint venture with Safe & Sound Security Systems and Services as a small business set aside project.
