Jerry joined Excel Constructors in 1995 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  As President, Jerry provides leadership for Excel’s overall operations. His career in construction started with a national general contractor headquartered in Kansas City. Jerry holds dual bachelor’s degrees in accounting and management from Kansas State University. At K-State he served as student body president and later chairman of the national Alumni Association Board of Directors. His past local community involvement includes serving as a board member for a Kansas City, MO charter school; past board member and president of the One Park Place Homeowners’ Association; and membership in the Construction Financial Managers Association. Jerry’s local interests include supporting the arts in Kansas City specifically the Kansas City Chorale, Lyric Opera, Heart of America Shakespeare Festival and The Kansas City Ballet.

In 1995 Konnee joined Excel Constructors as Project Administrator. Her project experience includes locations across the country including some of Excel’s most noteworthy and award winning projects. She brings tremendous value to the team with her knowledge of construction standards and safety regulations, and successfully acts as a liaison with the owners, architects, and subcontractors. Konnee is a member of the Kansas City Area Healthcare Engineers (KCAHE) and a past officer and board member with Women in Construction (WIC).

Chris joined the Excel Constructors team in 2004 as a Project Manager. Since then, he has worked on a variety of projects, winning several awards for his work. He was the recipient of the “Capstone Award” for Green Design and Construction for the Sugar Creek Patrol and Fire Station, as well as the “Excellence in Construction” award for the QuikTrip Generation III Prototype Store and the Shoal Creek Medical Buildings. Chris is a certified LEED Accredited Professional. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science and Management from Kansas State University.

Kerry started with Excel Constructors in 1997 as a Project Superintendent. After eight years in the field he merged this experience with the role of Estimator/Project Manager. As a result of this combination, he provides an insightful perspective as our Safety Director. As head of our safety program, Kerry strives to create a “culture of safety” to ensure the protection of everyone from our field employees to our clients. His work has also earned numerous awards, including “Project of the Year” for the Merriam Park Elementary School and “Excellence in Construction” for the LEED Gold certified Kansas Bioscience Park Venture Accelerator project. Kerry holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from Kansas State University.
