The walls are going up! Excel Constructors and Lithko Contracting erected the tilt-up concrete panels this week for Donnelly College’s new three-story academic building in Kansas City, Kansas. The erection process on this compact neighborhood site required extensive coordination to maintain the safety of everyone involved. The largest panel is 53′ x 26′ and weighs 176,000 lbs, which is 13 times as heavy as an elephant! This 72,000 square foot building will be completed in the fall of 2020 and the current main academic building will be removed to create a stunning campus quad for the students. These walls will house many educators and students for years to come!
