Excel Constructors congratulates the Little Blue Valley Sewer District on the opening of its newest facility. An Open House, held this morning, showcased the new Little Blue Valley Sewer District Administration & Employee Services Building. Part of the celebration included tours for those in attendance including Missouri Member Communities and the design and construction team members from Burns & McDonnell, Excel Constructors and HDR.
Excel began construction on Little Blue in January of this year. This $5.2 Million project included the partial demolition of an existing structure and construction of a one-story, 12,900 SF steel-framed, veneer cast stone and concrete masonry Employee Services Building at the district’s Atheron Waste Water Treatment Plant in Independence, MO. The facility consists of 16 offices, a 50-person training room, dedicated laundry facilities, covered patio with gas barbecue grills, plant center monitoring room, reinforced storm shelter and a multi-purpose room with workout equipment. This project was completed in eleven months and under budget.
