Excel takes pride in giving back to our community. Our Voluntary Time Off program allows employees paid time away from work to volunteer. This past Monday our Head of the Human Resources Department, Melinda Coleman, gave her time to the Girl Scouts of America organization. She is a leader of her daughter’s Troop 1742. Melinda and other troop leaders sorted and loaded over 4,000 cases of Girl Scout cookies for over 60 troops. That means 48,000 cookies are currently being delivered to anxiously awaiting customers in the Kansas City area! This annual Girl Scout Cookie fundraiser not only helps Girl Scouts earn money for fun, educational activities and community projects, but also play a huge role in transforming girls as they learn essential life skills.
